Flashing

The purpose of Flashing is to make your home weather resistant and more durable. Flashing has a significant impact on preventing water from getting inside your home, and therefore reduces the potential of water damage and indoor mould.

The flashing used by ASNU is purposefully engineered to protect vulnerable corners of windowsills, roofs, doors, and penetrations where water is likely to find its way in.  They are made with a simple and effective application in mind – Keep your home looking and feeling as good As-Nu!

Here at AsNu, we want you to be as involved as possible in building your dream home. So we will take you through a quality inspection of the materials used for the flashing, to ensure the absolute best is ordered for you.

Then we will take you through the completed project and ensure that all work and its quality, meets, or hopefully exceeds, your expectations.

Bargeboards

A Bargeboard, (also known as verge boards) is a board that is fastened to the projecting gables of a roof. These provide strength to the roof, and protect otherwise exposed ends of timbers that are attached to the roof.

The condition of the bargeboard can often make or break the look of a house, and over the years it has evolved into some very attractive shapes. It also plays a very important role (along with fascias) in supporting the bottom row of tiling and carrying all the gutters. This is no easy feat, especially when we have rain like the April 2015 storms washing several litres of water per second into your gutters.

The bargeboards and surrounding fixtures (such as box ends, gables, soffits, fascias) are truly a work of art, requiring very delicate handy-work from carpentry specialists. Our boys at AsNu absolutely LOVE getting the chance to show off their ability to create work that is both incredibly durable and aesthetic. They really are your one-stop-shop for carpentry needs!

As with all of our work, it’s your home, so your opinion is the only one that matters – that’s why we stand by the AsNu Communication Promise.
